Election results

My inbox is full of congratulations this morning. I'm happy to report that I've just become a Town of Dryden Councilman. I'm not implying gender change, but I don't think the Board has accepted the extra syllable in Councilperson yet. I am now the only Democrat and the only woman on the Board. And I couldn't be happier.

I just saw your link at Lene's blog and hopped over to see who you were. Congratulations on your political victory! Perhaps there is some hope for the U.S. of A. after all! I heard various good things about the election from several blogs this morning.

Mary Ann-

From what I know of you in reading your blog Dryden has just become a better place in electing you to the Town Council.

Congratulations from California, where we also had some success in terminating Arnold's propositions.

And Americans also, through a massive letter, e-mail & phone campaign, delt a setback to those who would drill the ANWR for oil, but that battle is far from over.

But at 60 years of age I've long known that the battle is always far from over, but the fight must continue.

It's what democracy is about.

Give'em hell Mary Ann, straight from the heart!
