I had been taking my time accepting that summer is over. But I went up to Vermont from Boston this past weekend and although the fall foliage was dull this year, I had such a nice weekend. A barn dance with hot apple cider. OK, I guess there are reasons I put up with the snow and cold...

The silver lining is that you have all winter to miss the rose and appreciate it even more once it blooms again next year . . .
