I've been in New York at a conference which you can read about at Dryden Democrats.
But life at the window has been very busy for the cats.
It's not enough that the deer herd is up to thirteen. This is the view from the kitchen window.
Next there was this guy at the bird feeder and trying to help himself to the bird feed in the can.
And then there was a skunk. I didn't get a picture of that, but he's driving the cats nuts.
[ed. 2/17/07 I forgot to mention that beautiful, yellow stray cat that fought with Murphy last fall. He was here last night just before I took that picture of Murphy. I think it's the first time I've heard Murphy growl.]

Great photos! I haven't been able to capture a possum - he sure looks wet and cold!
We have had a skunk visiting the past two nights (early morning) I don't mind him comming by - but it takes a couple of hours for the air filters to rid the house of his presence (ug)
Possums always seem to look pathetic. They just didn't get any of those big-eyed, cuddly characteristics so endearing to humans.
I admit, I've been putting out a handful of dry dog food to attract the crows. I love watching them. They seem like such cartoon characters. But they're still incredibly suspicious. So, still no pictures.
But I imagine it's the dog food that's attracting everything else in the neighborhood.
I have a cat whose world lies on both sides of the window even though he has to stay on just one side.
Love the picture of your white cat.
So glad I found your blog. Really nice photos.
